Peter and Thembisa found each other in the 1990s through the volunteering organisation REACH. Peter wanted to volunteer with a charity as he moved from full time work in IT throughout Europe. He provided admin support initially and then became Secretary/ Treasurer until 2024, helping to get our finances onto a professional footing and to raise and manage funds for the many projects we support. With his business acumen and proactive thinking, Peter provided wise input into our processes, ensuring that they were efficient and of maximum benefit to our projects. Peter and his wife Jen were great supporters of Thembisa including the annual garden party and walks, persuading many of their friends to attend. Sadly, Peter died on 8 August 2025. We remember him as kind, gentle and wise, and an exemplary Treasurer.
